1) Apostate Religion: 

In (ITim.4:1), A seducing spirit is a lying spirit or deceiving spirit. “Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils.” The seducing serpent told Eve that she wouldn’t die if she disobeyed God.

He asked Christ to become selfish and make bread for himself and finally to worship him. (Matt.4:3) “And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.” Doctrines of devils will take whoever believes them into bondage. 

2) The World Of Business Affairs: 

(James 5:1-6) “Go to now, ye rich men, weep and howl for your miseries that shall come upon you. Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are motheaten. Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days. Behold, the hire of the labourers who have reaped down your fields, which is of you kept back by fraud, crieth: and the cries of them which have reaped are entered into the ears of the Lord of sabaoth.

Ye have lived in pleasure on the earth, and been wanton; ye have nourished your hearts, as in a day of slaughter. Ye have condemned and killed the just; and he doth not resist you.” The Apostle Paul equates the evil of covetousness and greed with idolatry. (Col.3:5) “Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry.”

The love and lust for money are areas of increased demonic activity. (IJohn 2:15-17) “Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.” This is a sad fact. How many billionaires are in prison because of greed in business affairs. 

(Matt.6:19-34) “Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!

 

No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them.

Are ye not much better than they? Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? Therefore take no thought, saying,

What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.” 

The Root Of All Evil: 

(ITim.6:9-10) “But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition. For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.” We have seen in just a few short months all sorts of scandals from the business world. People involved in extortion, murder, and even suicide with the Fannie May Co. The Madoff Scandal and others are not the last. There will be others to come. The world of business is totally corrupt and infested with greed and wickedness. Demons control that arena for sure.

Be content. (Heb.13:5) “Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.” This is good advice for all. Do not fall into the trap that many have fallen into. The race for wealth is vast and competitive as well as deceitful.

A) People abuse their families, they cheat and lie and deceive anyone to get what they want. It soon becomes an addiction that overtakes them.

B) Many have sold their reputations, their bodies, and their souls for the almighty dollar. (Ps.49) “Wherefore should I fear in the days of evil, when the iniquity of my heels shall compass me about? They that trust in their wealth, and boast themselves in the multitude of their riches; None of them can by any means redeem his brother, nor give to God a ransom for him:

(For the redemption of their soul is precious, and it ceaseth for ever:) That he should still live for ever, and not see corruption. For he seeth that wise men die, likewise the fool and the brutish person perish, and leave their wealth to others. Their inward thought is, that their houses shall continue for ever, and their dwelling places to all generations; they call their lands after their own names. Nevertheless man being in honour abideth not: he is like the beasts that perish.

This their way is their folly: yet their posterity approve their sayings. Selah. Like sheep they are laid in the grave; death shall feed on them; and the upright shall have dominion over them in the morning; and their beauty shall consume in the grave from their dwelling. But God will redeem my soul from the power of the grave: for he shall receive me. Selah.

Be not thou afraid when one is made rich, when the glory of his house is increased; For when he dieth he shall carry nothing away: his glory shall not descend after him. Though while he lived he blessed his soul: and men will praise thee, when thou doest well to thyself. He shall go to the generation of his fathers; they shall never see light. Man that is in honour, and understandeth not, is like the beasts that perish.”

C) Almost every single area of society can be traced to the love of money. (Mark 7:21-23) “For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.” We have already seen the Madoff scandal as well as the Fannie May fiasco. It seems that men will do almost anything for money. 

D) Homes are broken into and people rob and kill for money. We have seen many celebrities over the last couple of years that have had their homes broken into and family members murdered as a result of intense lust for money. To the ones who are desperate, this love can overcome people and cause them to do things unspeakable. Clearly demons are behind such activities.

E) Today, many call the dollar their master. (Luke12:15) “And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.” (Luke 6:24) “But woe unto you that are rich! for ye have received your consolation.” I think this verse says it all. I also think this kills the prosperity gospel that so many preachers spew out.

3) The World of Politics: 

(Dan.10:12-13) “Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words. But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia.” There is clearly demonic activity over the world of Politics. There always has been. Through prayer, things can change. 

King Herod killed all the first born as a result of the birth of the messiah.(Matt.2:16-18) “Then Herod, when he saw that he was mocked of the wise men, was exceeding wroth, and sent forth, and slew all the children that were in Bethlehem, and in all the coasts thereof, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had diligently enquired of the wise men. Then was fulfilled that which was spoken by Jeremy the prophet, saying, In Rama was there a voice heard, lamentation, and weeping, and great mourning, Rachel weeping for her children, and would not be comforted, because they are not.” Only someone who is demonized would even think of doing such a thing.

Napoleon: The earth trembled at what he did. He brought war to the entire continent of Europe. Historians say he had a great bloodlust.

Alexander the Great: This is yet another great example. Not only because of his military conquests, but by the way he died, in a drunken orgy at the age of thirty-three. God saw the driving force that made him desire to kill and destroy to exalt himself. 

 

Adolf Hitler: Hitler was insane to say the least. The slaughter of over six million Jews in the holocaust can only be described by demonic inspiration. It was said of Hitler that he possessed a hypnotic sense of speech. In his early days, he was such a good speaker that he had everyone in a bar crying death to the Jews! Two men engaged In the demonstration upon leaving the establishment said, wait, we’re Jewish! Growling and insane fits were reported by those that were close to Hitler. 

Mussolini: He declared, “I would shake hands with the devil if he would help me get the desire of my heart.” Much of the modern world trembled at his actions through military might. 

(Dan. 10:11-12) “And he said unto me, O Daniel, a man greatly beloved, understand the words that I speak unto thee, and stand upright: for unto thee am I now sent. And when he had spoken this word unto me, I stood trembling. Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words.” When Daniel prayed for the salvation of his people, a divine struggle occurred in the heavens. There are many principalities over the workings of world rulers.

4) The World Of Crime: 

(Is.59:3-4) “For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue hath muttered perverseness. None calleth for justice, nor any pleadeth for truth: they trust in vanity, and speak lies; they conceive mischief, and bring forth iniquity.” (Matt. 24:12) “And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.” 

A) When a mother strangles her child to death, she tells authorities, “A voice told me to do it.”
B) A man cuts up a human body, and carries it around with him in a suitcase. He is far from crazy as he can hail a cab and do his work.
C) A husband shoots his wife and family then tells police that a spirit told him to do it. 
D) When a man has an argument with his girlfriend, he pours gasoline on her baby and sets it on fire.

The compulsion to kill comes from a deep inner drive to do evil. A drive that can only be applied to demonic influence. 

5) The World Of The Occult: 

Heathen religion is invading America in an unprecedented way. Large cities in America have become centers of false cults and demonic worship. New Orleans has Voodoo. This is a very old form of witchcraft. It employs the use of both white and black magic. In North Carolina, it is the Wicca capitol of the world. There is an estimated 2000 witches in Philadelphia alone. 

Biblical Warnings

(Deut. 18:10-12) “There shall not be found among you [any one] that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, [or] that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch, Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD: and because of these abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee.” The world of the occult is dangerous and is condemned by God. 

(Gal.5:19-20) “Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies.” The acts of the occult are a fleshly religion. 

(Rev.9:20-21) “And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk: Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts.” Many in this realm refuse to repent and be reconciled to God. They are in bondage. 

(ITim.6:20) “O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane [and] vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called:” Vain babblings are common in occult practices. 

(Mark 13:22) “For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect.” Many in the occult are capable of signs and wonders. But, it is not of God. You will see by where the glory is given. If Jesus Christ isn’t glorified, it isn’t of God. 

(IIThess.2:7-12) “For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: 

Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.” Those that are in the occult are considered unrighteous. 

You will know them by their fruits. (Matt.7:19-21) “Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.” Many in the occult feel they are serving God, but it is a lie.

An empty and confused soul can become an open sign to the devil to inhabit. If one allows himself to be open to other forces, demons receive an open invitation to enter their lives. (Luke 11:24-26) “When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he saith,

I will return unto my house whence I came out. And when he cometh, he findeth it swept and garnished. Then goeth he, and taketh to him seven other spirits more wicked than himself; and they enter in, and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first.” Men whose souls are empty and famished will feed upon anything which will fill that hunger. Even if it’s poisoned. 

(Acts 15:24) “Forasmuch as we have heard, that certain which went out from us have troubled you with words, subverting your souls, saying, Ye must be circumcised, and keep the law: to whom we gave no such commandment.” This speaks of those who sought to “subvert souls” disturbing and unsettling peoples minds with their teachings, “throwing them into confusion.” Satan is the author of confusion. (ICor.14:33) “For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.”

6) The World Of Disease And Demon Power: 

In this day and age, we have more doctors and hospitals and prescribed medicine than ever before in history. This has to do with many things. Not only are more people sick than ever before, but, more doctors are manipulating tests and treatments for financial gain than ever before. More people are dying as a result of medical treatment than any other time. In this area, there is more suffering, greed, manipulation, lies, deception, and death than almost any other area of life. Satan is a devourer. 

(IPet.5:8) “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.” In the area of medicine, doctors devour money and lives. The fruit of this industry proves a demonic infiltration. Many of the demons Jesus cast out were spirits of sickness.

 

7) The World Of Morals:

Morality is continually on a major decline. Junk is all over the world! Anyone who opposes smut is considered to be a nuisance. The real untouchables in this world are the writers and publishers of smut. They have the big bucks to manipulate legislation and allow their views to be implemented. 50 years ago they would have had a heart attack if they saw what is in movies and T.V. today. 50 years ago, the church had enough power to close every business on Sundays. Today, even the church is having a moral crisis. Demon power and influence is increasing. 

(IJohn 4:1-6) “Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. 

Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them. We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us.” The spirits must be tested! Demoinc influence should never be in the church!

(IJohn5:20-21) “And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life. Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen.” 

On a moral level, the world is at its lowest level in centuries. The testing of spirits is not taught in many circles now. Today, we live in an anything goes society. Moral decay is on the rise. Christian doctrine is shunned. God’s power is not being displayed openly. If the church is to gain any territory for Christ, we must look within, for there is the problem.
