~The Origin Of Demons~

When it comes to handling demons, I believe it is important to stick with the bible in understanding these things. There is much that the bible has to say on this subject, and I will attempt to uncover as much as I can concerning this.

I think the best place to start is at the beginning. The place that I started at is not the same place I will begin here, for the simple reason that the bible has a particular order to which certain things occurred and I believe that if we are to truly understand demons, then we should first understand why we are in the mess we are in, in the first place.

Gen. Chapter one – In this chapter, We see God creating the earth, or is He? If you look closely at most of the verses in this chapter, we see God saying let. Let there be light, let the waters bring forth etc. This is not an act of creation but restoration. In verse one, we see God create the heavens and the earth. Bam! Just like that. I think that is why science believes in the big bang theory.
Imagine God taking a week to create everything. He did it instantly.

In Gen.1:26, we see God creating man in our image. The Hebrew word for God is elohim which is plural for God. Meaning gods. In the following verse, we see that He created male and female. In verse 28, we see something very interesting. “And God blessed them, and God said unto them, be fruitful and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.” Notice there is no mention of Adam or Eve. This was before that. Adam and Eve are in the next chapter. God says in Verse 28 to replenish the earth. Meaning there was once something there before. Before man.

Now, we see in Gen. 2:7, God forms man. This is a separate creation from before. In Gen.1:28, We see God telling man to replenish the earth and subdue it. Meaning there were already enemies present. The enemies, are demons.

As we all know, God puts Adam and Eve together in the garden, and the serpent comes along and tempts Eve to eat of the tree of life. Notice that the serpent tempted Eve. Not Adam. He used the woman to get to the man. Thus, the fall of man occurred, and Satan won control over the earth once again. Yes, he had control before Adam came on the scene. In fact, the earth was his kingdom, which is why he was there in the garden. To take back his kingdom.

In Gen.1:2, we see that God has already created the heavens and the earth but, the earth is without form and void, and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. Notice that in verse one, we have creation, and in verse two, there is a void with the earth covered with water. This is what is known as the gap theory.

Some believe that there is a period of millions of years between verses one and two. During this period, it is believed that Lucifer once inhabited the earth and was ruler over it. It is also believed that this was also the time of the dinosaurs. Jer.4:23-28- “I beheld the earth, and lo, it was without form, and void; and the heavens, and they had no light. I beheld the mountains, and, lo, they trembled, and all the hills moved lightly. I beheld, and lo, there was no man, and all the birds of the heavens were fled. I beheld, and lo, the fruitful place was a wilderness, and all the cities thereof were broken down at the presence of the Lord, and by His fierce anger.

For thus hath the Lord said, the whole land shall be desolate; yet will I not make a full end. For this shall the earth mourn, and the heavens above be black: because I have spoken it, I have purposed it, and I will not repent, neither will I turn back from it.” This is a very interesting part of scripture because we see parts of Gen.1:1-2 with a little bit more info. The earth was without form and void. There were birds, but no man. There were cities but no man as well. Could the birds be pterodactyls? Could the city have been Atlantis? After all, it was, said, to be devoured by the ocean. Maybe.
Another thing that is interesting is this fact as well. In Gen 1:1-2, we see that the earth is full of water. I also believe this is the answer to the ice age as well. Job 38:24-30- By what way is the light parted, which scattereth the east wind upon the earth?

Who hath divided a watercourse for the overflowing of waters, or a way for the lightning of thunder; To cause it to rain on the earth, where no man is; on the wilderness, wherein there is no man; To satisfy the desolate and waste ground; and to cause the bud of the tender herb to spring forth? Hath the rain a father? Or who hath begotten the drops of dew? Out of whose womb came the ice? And the hoary frost of heaven, who hath gendered it?

The waters are hid as with a stone, and the face of the deep is frozen.” Notice how it mentions the overflowing of waters and the light being parted? Here we have the same thing as in Gen. 1:1-2. I believe this is the time where Satan rebelled against God and God judged him and the earth and destroyed it with a flood and fire and froze the earth causing the ice age. Scientists tell us that animals, they have uncovered in the ice in Siberia, were frozen instantly, while grazing, because they have found undigested food in thier stomachs!

Now, why did the incident in the garden occur? For Satan to take dominion once again. But, it would be short lived because the time would come for him to meet Jesus face to face. The second Adam.

Gen 3:14- And The Lord God said unto the serpent, because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life. V. 15, And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

This was the first prophecy in the bible. The prophecy of the coming of the messiah. The one whose heel would be bruised by Satan. In the original, it says that the serpents head will be crushed So, we see that the messiah was to come through a seed. Satan saw this also, and this is where the story gets interesting..

Gen.6:1-7- And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, that the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose. And the Lord said, my spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.

There were giants in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children unto them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown. And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

And it repented the Lord that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. And the Lord said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.” So, we see here, the sons of God, more commonly known as angels, made wives of the women of the earth and brought forth giants.

These are called the Nephilim or fallen ones as the bible describes them. This was the reason why the flood occurred. The giants were produced in an attempt to stop the seed of the messiah from coming forth. God had to flood the earth not just because sin was out of control, but because these giants were destroying man on the earth. This angel/man hybrid was an ultimate abomination before God. And, it had to be destroyed.

Now, there is much more about this fascinating story but, unfortunately, the bible does not contain much more. However, there is a book of the bible that was removed about 1200 years ago that has been recovered and printed for us to read today. It is the book of Enoch. The first prophet in the bible. Ironic isn’t it? Every other prophet in the bible has written a book except the first one?

Not so. There is much evidence that Jesus himself once read and taught out of this book. It contains the entire genealogy from Adam to Noah, as well as the history of Israel and much of what would be in Jesus's sermon on the mount and much that is mentioned in the book of Revelations as well. Enoch was a great prophet of God and friend to the angels as well as man. A prophet unlike any other.

Enoch 1:5-6- “All shall be afraid, and the Watchers be terrified. Great fear and trembling shall seize them, even to the ends of the earth. The lofty mountains shall be troubled, and the exalted hills depressed, melting like a honeycomb in the flame. The earth shall be immerged, and all things which are in it perish; while judgment shall come upon all, even upon all the righteous.”

Notice where it says the hills will melt like a honeycomb? I think this is what was meant by the scripture that says the hills melted like wax at the presence of the Lord. Ps.97:5-The hills melted like wax at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the Lord of the whole earth.

I believe that the saints of old, knew about this book, and it is a piece of a large puzzle of lost scriptures. The reason this book was removed from scripture is because they were trying to train monks to be celebant, and live without marriage, and they looked at this book and said, if an angel can’t do this, then why do you ask it of me? So, along with a few other scriptures, they threw them out to implement more control over what they thought religion should be.

Enoch3:3- They see that every work of God is invariable in the period of it’s appearance. They behold summer and winter: perceiving that the whole earth is full of water: and that the cloud, the dew, and the rain refresh it. Notice that it says the whole earth is full of water. Remember, Enoch lived before Noah. In fact, He was Noah’s great great grandfather.
This proves the fact of two floods. One before Noah.

In the seventh chapter of Enoch, we see a parallel to Gen.6 but, with much more information. Enoch.7- It happened after the sons of men had multiplied in those days, that daughters were born to them, elegant and beautiful. And when the angels, the sons of heaven, beheld them, they became enamored of them, saying to each other, Come, let us select for ourselves wives from the progency of men, and let us beget children.

Then their leader, Samyaza said, to them; I fear that you may perhaps be indisposed to the performance of this enterprise; And that I alone shall suffer for so grievous a crime. But they answered him and said; We swear; And bind ourselves by mutual execrations, that we will not change our intention, but execute our projected undertaking. Then they swore all together, and all bound themselves by mutual execrations. Their whole number was two hundred, who descended upon Ardis, which is the top of mount Armon.

That mountain therefore was called Armon, because they had sworn upon it, and bound themselves by mutual execrations. These are the names of their chiefs: Samyaza, who was their leader, Urakabarameel, Akibeel, Tamiel, Ramuel, Danel, Azkeel, Saraknyal, Asael, Armers, batraal, Anane, Zavebe, Samsaveel, Ertael, Turel, Yomyael, Arazyal. These were the prefects of the two hundred angels, and the remainder were all with them.

Then they took wives, each choosing for himself; whom they began to approach, and with whom they cohabited; teaching them sorcery, incantations, and the dividing of roots and trees. And the women conceiving, brought forth giants, Whose stature was each three hundred cubits. (5400in.) These devoured all which the labour of men produced; until it became impossible to feed them; And began to injure birds, beasts, reptiles, and fishes, to eat their flesh one after another, and to drink their blood. Then the earth reproved the unrighteous.

So, we see that the angels fell not once but twice. In this case two hundred to be exact. Like Lucifer, they wanted something that wasn’t theirs to obtain, and it cost them eternal life. Lets look further.

Enoch 8- “Moreover, Azazyel taught men to make swords, knives, shields, breastplates, the fabrication of mirrors, and the workmanship of bracelets and ornaments, the use of paint, the beautifying of the eyebrows, the use of stones of every valuable and select kind, and of all sorts of dyes, so that the world became altered. Impiety increased; fornication multiplied; and they transgressed and corrupted all their ways.

Amaazarak taught all the sorcerers, and the dividing of roots: Armers taught the solution of sorcery; Barkayal taught the observers of the stars; Akibeel taught signs; Tamiel taught astronomy; And Asaradel taught the motion of the moon. And men, being destroyed, cried out, and their voice reached to heaven.”

So, now we understand where things like warfare came from. Man did not know weaponry until it, was shown to him by the angels. As well as other mystical powers. This, was never meant to be revealed to man. It was heavenly information that was to stay in heaven. It was at this point where man learned conflict and war. As well as many other mystical arts. This is where the depth of the corruption of our world began. Over the years, it has gotten worse.

In chapter 9 of the book of Enoch, we see the angels, Michael, Gabriel,Raphael, Suryal, and Uriel, observing what calamity is befalling the earth as a result of what the Watchers have done. The souls of the people are crying toward heaven as a result of all the blood that has been shed. And, these angels have a gathering and a meeting with God about what to do.

Enoch 10:1-9- “Then the most high, the great and Holy One spoke, And sent Arsayalyur to the son of Lamech, saying, say to him in my name, Conceal thyself. Then explain to him the consummation which is about to take place; for all the earth shall perish; the waters of a deluge shall come over the whole earth, and all things which are in it shall be destroyed. And now teach him how he may escape, and how his seed may remain in all the earth.

Again the Lord said to Raphael, bind Azazyel hand and foot; cast him into darkness; and opening the desert which is in Dudael, cast him in there. Throw upon him hurled and pointed stones covering him with darkness; There shall he remain forever; cover his face, that he may not see the light. And in the great day of judgment, let him be cast into the fire.”

This judgment is partially what I believe is in 2Pet.2:4 and jude 1:6 2Pet.2:4-5”For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment; and spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly.”

Do you see how this scripture connects it with the days of Noah? Jude 1:6-“ And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.” This also describes the prison of darkness as well

Jesus spoke to these spirits in this prison after he died on the cross. Eph 4:9 –“Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth?”. 1Pet.3:19-“By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison;” Now, why would Jesus descend into the lower parts of the earth? Do you remember what He said to the thief on the cross?

This day you will be with me in paradise. Paradise is translated sheol. The lower part of the earth. Now, if Jesus descended, I think he went to get the keys of death and hell but, it says in 1Pet.3:19 that He preached to the spirits in prison. Which spirits? The ones under chains of darkness. It doesn’t say souls, it says spirits. Jesus went to tell them hey you failed to stop me from coming, I made it, prepare for judgment.

In chapter twelve of the book of Enoch, we see God requesting the prophet to go to the Watchers and pronounce judgment on them. That they shall not obtain peace forever. In chapter thirteen we see similar events as well. The Watchers request of Enoch to write a memorial of their prayer to give to God in the hope that they may obtain forgiveness, but, their petition is denied.

In chapter fifteen of Enoch, the judgment upon the Watchers is declared. “Then, addressing me, He (God) spoke and said, Hear, neither be afraid, O righteous Enoch, thou scribe of righteousness: approach hither and hear my voice. Go, say to the Watchers of heaven, who have sent thee to pray for them, you ought to pray for men, and not men for you.

Wherefore have you forsaken the lofty and holy heaven, which endures for ever, and have lain with women; have defiled yourselves with the daughters of men; have taken to yourselves wives; have acted like the sons of the earth, and have begotten an impious offspring? You being spiritual, holy, and possessing a life which is eternal, have polluted yourselves with women; have begotten carnal blood; have lusted in the blood of men; and have done as those who are flesh and blood do. These however, die and perish.” So, we can see here that the judgment declared by God through Enoch, that God is very angry about this. Let’s look further.

Enoch 15:5-7- “Therefore have I given to them wives, that they might cohabit with them; that sons might be born of them; and that this might be transacted upon earth. But you from the beginning were made spiritual, possessing a life which is eternal, and not subject to death forever. Therefore I made not wives for you, because being spiritual, your dwelling is in heaven.” Because of what the Watchers have done, the men of earth are judged as well. Now, let us look and see what happens to the Nephilim.

Enoch 15:8-10- “Now, the giants, who have been born of spirit and of flesh, shall be called upon the earth evil spirits, and on earth shall be their habitation. Evil spirits shall proceed from their flesh, because they were created from above; from the holy Watchers was their beginning and primary foundation. Evil spirits shall they be upon earth, and the spirits of the wicked shall they be called. The habitation of the spirits of heaven shall be in heaven; but upon earth shall be the habitation of terrestrial spirits, who are born on earth.

The spirits of the giants shall be like clouds, which shall oppress, corrupt, fall, contend, and bruise upon earth. They shall cause lamentation. No food shall they eat; and they shall be thirsty; they shall be concealed, and shall not rise up against the sons of men, and against women; for they come forth during the days of slaughter and destruction.” So, here we see the judgment of the Nephilim giants. They are the demons or evil spirits that we deal with today. Notice how it states that they shall be thirsty and shall not eat?

Matt.12:43-45- “When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none. Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished. Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation.” Notice here that it talks about a man being a house in which the unclean spirit claims to own?

It says I will return to my house. It says when it returned, it found the house to be swept and garnished. In other words, the man looked religious, but in fact it was all in vain. There was no real presence of God in his life. Therefore, he had no protection, which is why the spirit came back to see if it was allowed back in. If Jesus is in your heart, and an evil spirit knocks on your door, Jesus answers that door. The demon will say I assure you, whoops wrong house! Make sure Jesus is in your house and no devil will dare come near it! Because, He who is in you is greater than he that is in the world. !john 4:4

Now, remember how I mentioned that Satan was in the garden of Eden before Adam and eve and sought to regain his kingdom? Ezekiel 28:12-19- “Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyrus, and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord God; Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty.

Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.

Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee. By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.

Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee. Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffick; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee. All they that know thee among the people shall be astonished at thee: thou shalt be a terror, and never shalt thou be anymore.”

This is an amazing scripture, and it tells us a-lot. Notice in verse 12, It states that Satan or the prince of Tyre, was full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty. I think many would be amazed at the sight of Lucifer, as he was the most beautiful angel ever created. Not to mention, the most powerful as well.

In verse 13 We see that he was in Eden, the garden of God. This states his position before the fall of man. He was in Eden. He was covered with every precious stone. It was a part of his physical makeup! He had pipes and tabrets within him. Lucifer was in charge of the worship before God in heaven. And when he sang, music came out of him! Now we see today how he has corrupted music.

In verse 14, We see that he is the anointed cherub that covereth. And he was upon the holy mountain and walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.
Is.6:1-6 “In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple. Above it stood the Seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain did he fly. And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, Holy, Holy, is the Lord of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory. And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke. Then said I, woe is me!

For I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the king, the Lord of Hosts. Then flew one of the seraphims unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar.” This temple in heaven was the stones of fire I was talking about earlier. That was the live coal given to Isaiah to purge his iniquity. He walked right before the Lord and declared Holy, Holy, Holy! That is the state that he fell from. It also says that he was anointed.

In Ezekiel 28:15, We see that Lucifer was perfect till iniquity was found in him. So, he use to be very righteous.

In Ezekiel 28:16, we see Lucifer’s rejection and ultimate disownment by God. It says he was cast out of the mountain of God. His power and position made him violent.

In verse 17, we find that his pride is what brought him to ruin. For he was lifted up because of his beauty and his wisdom was corrupted.

In verse 18, his sanctuaries were defiled by his many sins. And, his judgment is imminent Verse 19.

One thing that I want to make very clear is this. Satan is a defeated foe. He was the most powerful angel ever created. He had the office of both arch angel and cherub. In verse 14. we see that Lucifer was the anointed cherub. He was anointed. The only ones in the bible at that time who were anointed were the prophets. So, he had the office of prophet. In verse 18, it says he defiled his sanctuaries. So, he was a priest as well. Isaiah 14:12-13-

“How thou art fallen down from heaven O Lucifer, son of the morning! How art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north.” So, we see here, that he also had a throne.

So, he must have been a king. In all of this, He held the office of prophet, priest, and king. There is only one other who held these same three offices. It is Jesus. So, the rank in heaven was God the father, God the son, the Holy Spirit, and Lucifer. Now, do you see why we need the Holy Spirit? Satan is very powerful and crafty. He is the reason for so many different religions and belief systems in this world. If he can confuse the truth enough, then the real truth will be hard to find

Isaiah14:14- “I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most high. Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit. They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee saying, is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms; that made the world as a wilderness, and destroyed the cities thereof; that opened not the house of his prisoners?”
“A man’s pride shall bring him low: but honour shall uphold the humble in spirit.”. Proverbs 29:23. Pride is the first sin in the bible. And it was committed by Lucifer. The light bearer.

Pride

Satan, because of his pride, fell, and lost all that he had with God. Satan, through his pride, entered Judas, and Judas betrayed Christ. Thusly, he went to the cross. Luke 22:3- “Then entered Satan into Judas surnamed Iscariot, being of the number of the twelve.” This is from the last supper. He went to betray the master after this. So, Satan helped to bring about the salvation of the world, and his own defeat.

Also, because of his pride, he is blind. Blind to prophecy because Satan knows the word of God and it’s power against him. It was prophesied that Jesus would die for our salvation. So, if Satan understood that, why did he aid in getting Jesus on the cross? God knew the pride of Satan ,and used that to His advantage.

Another thing is this, Satan is so prideful that he doesn’t realize that what he does in the life of the heathen today, can be used against him tomorrow. The word says “they overcame him by the blood of the lamb and the word of their testimony.” Rev. 12:11 So, Satan in his pride helps us to build the very weapon that we use to overcome him.
Just like Satan, pride will make us blind to what is in front of our eyes, (the word)

It will destroy who and what we are in Christ, and it will kill us. All without even realizing it. Pride is very dangerous.
The bible says that pride comes before a fall. Prov. 16:18. The Pharisees were filled with pride because the bible says that if they had known, they would not have crucified the Lord of Glory. 1Cor. 2:8 So, if they did recognize who Jesus was, they wouldn’t have crucified him. The devils sure knew who he was.

So, Satan works in and through those that are prideful. Pride is self conscious and says I know, I can, I am. I,I,I, me, me, me. God will not work in a prideful person. Pride rejects God. Pride is flesh. The flesh hates God. And yet, pride even thinks it pleases God. Where pride is, the presence of God is not.
Satan is also so prideful that he thinks he will rise above the stars of God.Is.14:12-14 The sin of pride is the first sin. Prov.16:18
